Dog Left in Hot Car Leads to Arrest of Two in Newton

Richard Lee Morris of Conover and Emily Rose Snyder of Newton were arrested Sunday after police received complaints of a distressed dog inside a vehicle on highway 70. When Officers arrived the dog appeared to be fine, but according to the Morganton News Herald the vehicle had been stolen from Burke County. Morris was issued a $4,000 bond and Snyder was issued a $2,000 bond.
