The Grace Chapel Volunteer Fire Department will now be manned 24 hours a day every day of the year. According to the Lenoir News Topic the fire department added paid staff to bring firefighters equipment to a fire so no one had to go to the station before going to a scene. Previously the station was only man 8:30-5 Monday through Friday.
