The Morganton News Herald reports Three people were injured after a single-car wreck on Monday evening. David Lee Brittain, 34, lost control of the car, over-corrected and hit a tree before coming to a stop on the side of the road on Antioch Road at around 6:15 p.m., said Trooper J. Gouge with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol. Brittain and two of his passengers were injured and transported by Burke County EMS to Carolinas HealthCare System Blue Ridge for treatment, said Lt. T. J. Robinson with Chesterfield Fire Rescue.
