The North Carolina Court of Appeals has upheld a decision in favor of two men who sued the Burke County Board of Education. Tom Wood and Scott Carlton sued the school system for negligence and invasion of privacy. The original case was heard in lower court in 2016 and made its way to the Court of Appeals in September. The News Herald reports Wood and Carlton were awarded $250,000 each.
