A Gamewell man tried to run over a police officer while driving a stolen vehicle and trying to evade arrest. Jordan Cornell is accused of stealing a car around 9 am Sunday. The NEws Topic reports an officer spotted the vehicle shortly after it was reported stolen an tried to pulled Cornell over which lead to a chase. Officers chased Cornell to Husbands Creek Road where he wrecked his car after trying to run over an officer when they cornered him. He then got out of the car running into the woods where he was caught by officers.
