A Reminder about Warming Stations in Catawba County

With the cold weather still upon us, the Catawba County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind everyone of the warming stations.

The following have been designated as warming stations for the homeless this winter. They provide activities, food and a place to hang out if the outside temperature gets below 30 degrees. The hours are 4pm-10pm. At 10 pm anyone in need can be transported to the Salvation Army Campus. Transportation for the warming stations leaves from the Life House at 4pm.

Mondays- First Presbyterian Church, 237 2nd St NW Hickory NC

Tuesdays- Life House, 831 2nd Ave Pl SE Hickory NC

Wednesdays- Morning Star & Christ Church, 126 4th Ave SW Hickory NC

Thursdays- First United Methodist Church, 311 3rd Ave NE Hickory NC

Fridays- Corinth Reformed United Church, 150 16th Ave NW Hickory NC

Saturdays- Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 547 6th St NW Hickory NC

Sundays- St Luke’s United Methodist Church, 52 16th Ave NW Hickory NC
