The Circle K convenience store on East 20th Street in Newton was robbed early Tuesday morning. Hickory Daily Record reports the clerk asked the suspect to take off his bandanna while in the store, and the suspect told the clerk he was robbing the store showing the clerk a stun gun while engaging the device several times. After obtaining cigarettes and money from the clerk, the suspect fled on foot.
