Three police departments are investigating numerous thefts of commercial vehicle batteries from various companies in Caldwell County. The News-Topic reports 12 commercial batteries and three small car batteries were stolen from Hydroforce Inc., four batteries from two trucks at ProTech Enterprises, and a battery from a commercial vehicle at Spectrum Adhesives. The Lenoir Police department has released a photo of two people walking into Rainey Battery on Connelly Springs Road and exchanging commercial batteries for cash.
