The News Herald reports a Rutherford College man was served the warrant that orders the state to hold him without bond. Edwin Jerry Hiatt II was charged on May 9 with the 1985 murder of TV producer Barry Crane.
Had the governor’s warrant not been served, Hiatt would have been eligible to be released from custody following his court date today.
