The Burke County Department of Social Services has a Request for Proposals for Child Support Enforcement advertised on its website. Any potential providers have to submit their proposals by Sept. 6. The News Herald reports the county currently manages an average of 4,000 cases and there are 10 positions budgeted for the program. Preference will also be given to applicants who will keep operations in Burke County.
