A Granite Falls man appeared in Superior court on Wednesday. Eric Terril Yount of Granite Falls is accused of shooting and killing Richelle Scott Lail and Cody William Watts at the McDonald’s restaurant on Highway 321 in Hickory in March 2016. The Hickory Daily Record reports Assistant District Attorney Jamie Adams negotiations are underway but due to Yount’s attorney having another case soon Yount’s next court date will be Nov. 4.
