A Granite Falls home was destroyed by fire on Thursday afternoon. The News-Topic Reports the home owned by Clyde Penley was heavily damaged by fire and smoke. Penley and his wife also lost their family puppy in the incident. The Caldwell County Fire Marshall’s Office was investigating the cause of the fire and there were no injuries reported.
