Conover Man Sentenced in Catawba Co Superior Court

Alan Lamonte Logan, 56, of Conover, was given an active prison sentence of seven to 10 years following his conviction for common law robbery, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and admission of his status as a habitual felon according to a release from District Attorney Scott Reilly’s office.  

Logan pleaded guilty to the crimes on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in Catawba County Superior Court and will be incarcerated for his prison sentence in the custody of the North Carolina Division of Adult Corrections.

Yesterday’s sentencing is the result of Logan’s conviction related to a series of incidents at three convenience stores on July 9, 2015.  His current sentence was enhanced by prior felony convictions related to drugs, larceny, breaking and entering in Buncombe County in 1985, 1988 and 1993.
