On November 20, 2019 at 12:42 P.M. the Marion Police along with McDowell EMS, and McDowell Rescue responded to an industrial accident at Marion Machine Company (169 Machine Shop Road, Marion). At the time of arrival McDowell Paramedics were attending to an unconscious male victim that was involved in the accident. Unfortunately after several minutes of life saving efforts the victim succumbed to his injuries. The victim was later identified as Joshua McGee (32 years of age) of Morganton.
No further information is being released at this time about the incident.
