On November 14, 2019, detectives with the Burke County Sheriff’s Office and NC Probation and Parole Officers served
a search warrant of the residence at 7366 McDuffy Road Lot 2, in Connelly Springs. Samantha Mclean and Aaron
Douglas II were at the residence. Accompanied by a NCDPS K9, detectives located trafficking amounts of suspected
methamphetamine. Also seized were various items of drug paraphernalia including items used for packaging and
distribution of methamphetamine and a firearm possessed by Aaron Wayne Douglas II (a convicted felon). Douglas
and Samantha Brooke Mclean were both transported to the magistrate office where they were served with arrest
warrants.. The two were transported to and held at the Burke/Catawba District Confinement Facility.
