The Hickory Council has agreed to a settlement of $400,000 in an excessive force case from 2013. Earlier this year, Former Hickory Police Sargent Robert George was found guilty of unreasonable force against Chelsea Doolittle after video showed George jerking out of a patrol car and throwing her to the ground following her arrest for disorderly conduct. City leaders agreed to the settlement on Tuesday.
