As expected, an announcement was made this morning confirming Charlotte is getting a Major League Soccer Team. The official announcement was made in Charlotte by Mayor Vi Lyles, Panthers Owner David Tepper, and MLS Commissioner Don Garber. This will be the leagues 30th franchise. The team is expected to begin play in 2021.
