Blue ridge energy donates truck

Blue Ridge Energy recently donated a truck to local helping agency, Foothills Service Project.

Foothills Service Project was the recipient of a pickup truck recently retired from Blue Ridge Energy’s fleet of operations vehicles. The truck will serve the needs of the local organization, which works to assist families living in Caldwell and surrounding areas with weatherization projects.

Foothills Service Project is a home repair ministry established for the purpose of assisting local families in efforts to make houses dry, safe and warm. Since its beginning in 1997, the ministry has worked to provide families with home repair and weatherization solutions that keep the properties warm and dry.

“We are proud to help provide Foothills Service Project with a much needed piece of equipment,” said Caldwell District Manager Tyler Reese. “Their work throughout our community helps play a critical role in keeping people warm and dry during the winter.”
