Authorities believe remains discovered earlier this week in Rowan County are those of 66 year old Rick Travis, who has been missing for nearly a year. A deer hunter found the body near the Yadkin River in the Spencer area. Travis left home on February 11th to go for a run and was never seen again. Although police do believe the remains are those of Mr. Travis, the medical examiner will need to make a positive ID. A Possible cause of death is being investigated.
