The City of Hickory will hold its 150th anniversary kick off celebration today but due to the weather the event has been moved indoors. The event will be held in the Council Chambers at City Hall. To kick off the City’s yearlong celebration of this historic milestone, Hickory Mayor Hank Guess will present a proclamation in the City’s honor at noon. The City invites residents, visitors, businesses, and local organizations to join in celebrating Hickory’s 150th year.
