Caldwell County Schools and Hudson Police have issued statements concerning threatening social media messages directed at the school district, particularly Hudson Middle school. The school district said in a press release that the social media account where the postings came from has been identified as coming from out of state and the threats do not appear to be credible. However, additional police presence may be seen on and around school campuses on Tuesday for increased safety and security. Local law enforcement is working closely with federal authorities to identify the person responsible. Students are encouraged to continue to report any disturbing or dangerous messages they may see online.
