SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
Interested persons should come to Burke County Sheriff’s Office located at 150 Government Drive off of Enola Road. Application packets for Deputy Sheriff and Detention Officer can be obtained at the Records Department in the lobby of the Sheriff’s Office.
The application packet will contain a Burke County application, an application to the North Carolina Sheriff’s Education and Training Standards Commission, and a list of the required material to be returned with the completed applications. The checklist also has a contact name and number to set up an appointment once the packet is fully completed or should you have any questions about the process.
BURKE CATAWBA DETENTION CONFINEMENT FACILITY
To apply submit a letter of interest to Jail Administrator for internal applicants and please submit a BCDCF Job Application for all external applicants. Applications are available at the Burke County Human Resources Office at 200 Avery Avenue.
