Caldwell County has three new confirmed positive cases of COVID-19, one in the 28638 Zip code, one in the 28630, and one in 28645. The patients have been instructed to remain in isolation until they meet all of the following criteria:
- At least 3 days (72 hours) have passed since recovery defined as resolution of fever without the use of fever-reducing medications and
- Improvement in respiratory symptoms (e.g., cough, shortness of breath); and,
- At least 7 days have passed since symptoms first appeared.
The total number of recovered patients, those who meet the criteria listed above, now stands at 15.
