With North Carolina scheduled to ease some restrictions associated with the stay-at-home order later this week, new cases of Coronavirus continue to add up across the Catawba Valley area and the state. Burke County Public Health reported its ninth Coronavirus-related death last week. As of Monday Burke County was reporting 113 cases total. Caldwell County reported three new cases over the weekend, bringing the County’s total to 38 while Catawba County had an increase of two cases from Friday and was reporting a total of 60 cases on Sunday.
