Catawba County Health officials reported 30 new cases of Coronavirus on Friday and an additional 17 new positive results on Saturday. 16 people were hospitalized on Saturday.
Burke County reported nine new infections Friday and 11 new cases on Saturday. Burke County had 10 patients in the hospital on Saturday.
13 new cases were reported in Caldwell County on Friday and three additional cases Saturday. As of Friday afternoon, 10 Caldwell County residents with COVID-19 were hospitalized. This marks the highest number of Caldwell County patients with COVID-19 hospitalized on a single day. Testing is free and available at the Caldwell County Health Department and Caldwell UNC Health Care’s Respiratory Diagnostic Center (RCD). To be tested at the Health Department, call 828-426-8446. The RDC, located at 1031 Morganton Boulevard in Lenoir, is a drive-thru clinic and no appointment is needed. People can also contact their health care provider about testing.
