Four employees at the Burke County Clerk of Court’s office have tested positive for Coronavirus. Officials say other workers are currently being tested. For now, the Clerks office has been sealed off and at least one of the courtrooms has undergone a deep cleaning.
A Burke County court employee tested positive on Tuesday. The courthouse remains open for business but a dropbox for filings is located outside the courthouse to help reduce foot traffic inside the building. Only people with business at the courthouse will be allowed to enter. A cloth face covering is required. People are encouraged to use online services to handle issues such as tickets or citations.
