Hickory Police are investigating a shooting on Monday afternoon that injured two people. The victims were shot in the parking lot of the Days Inn on 13th Ave, Dr., NW. They were able to walk to a nearby Waffle House to get help. 19 year old Tylee Shahlem Street and 20 year old Demarcus Leeshan Brown both suffered gunshot wounds. Hickory Police reports one of the victims is in stable condition and the other is receiving treatment for non life threatening injuries. Police don not believe this was a random act. They are looking for a white vehicle that left the scene at the Days Inn. Anyone with information is asked to contact Hickory police.
