Two more Coronavirus deaths were reported in the area on Thursday. One of those was in Burke County. We are told the individual was in their 60’s and died from complications related to the virus. 34 people have died in Burke County since the pandemic began. The other death was reported in Catawba County. Catawba County has had 44 deaths related to the virus.
Drive thru Coronavirus testing will be held this weekend in Morganton. High Country will be hosting a first come, first serve drive thru testing clinic on Sunday from 2 until 5 pm at 301 East Meeting Street in Morganton. Anyone can be tested but organizers say this is especially for the Spanish speaking community. Remember you must stay in your car for the testing.
