Ten people were sentenced to Federal prison Friday in Charlotte for trafficking methamphetamine in Catawba County. Eight of those 10 were from the Catawba Valley Area. Officials said 16 local, state and federal law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation which began in March of 2019. Investigators say one of the defendants, Cheng “Cam” Yang led the operation where high purity methamphetamine was trafficked from California into the Catawba Valley area.
