Repairs to a sink hole in Morganton will begin soon. That is the word from Phillip Boganberger a US Postal Service spokesman. The growing hole is located in the parking lot of the post office and a car wash near North Green St and NC 181. The car wash will likely have to be torn down. The hole was first noticed in November. The cause is believed to be related to a drainage issue. Officials in Morganton said the city bears no responsibility at the property.
