A fatal shooting took place in Hudson on Friday night. The victim was Terry Dale Hefner 44, who was pronounced dead in the parking lot of Dollar General on Pine Mountain Rd. The investigation is continuing. Hefner exchanged gunfire with Jody Shane Maltba 33, who was taken to Carolina’s Medical Center with life threatening injuries and was listed in critical but stable condition.
