A Lenoir woman faces breaking and entering charges.  Carol Ruppert Bates, 56 also faces larceny after breaking and entering.  Secured bond was set at $32,000.  The arrest report was filed with the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Office.

Sinkhole Found

The City of Lenoir Public Works Department has closed a section of Westview Street until workers can repair a 14-plus-foot sinkhole on the side of the road. Westview will be closed between Grove Avenue SW and Wright
