A Hickory man is facing charges in Charlotte.  22 year old Devin Marquis Backstrom faces breaking and entering, larceny and safecracking charges.  He was arrested and processed by Hickory Police and later released on an $11,000 bond.

The investigation is continuing in the collapse of the wooden arches over the Rudy Wright bridge.  The city of Hickory has obtained video footage from some area businesses which reveal the collapse occurred at 12:07am on Friday.
