Valdese Water Rates

Unemployment Rate

The unemployment rate has decreased in the area.  Caldwell County’s rate is 4.2% down from 4.4%.  Burke County’s rate is down to 4% while Catawba County is at 3.9%.  The area saw a high of 17% unemployment

Homeless In Burke County

The number of homeless people in Burke County increased by about 18 percent from 2017 to 2018, according to numbers gathered by Burke United Christian Ministries. BUCM determined that 71 people were considered regularly homeless in 2018. 

Animal Control

Firearm Charges
