Vehicle Theft

The Lenoir Police Department arrested Brian Edward Drew 40.  He is facing larceny of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen motor vehicle and fleeing to elude arrest.  He is under a $20,000 secured bond.

Area counties have reported an increase in Covid 19 cases, as the hope of a vaccine increases with news from the pharmaceutical companies.  There are currently 52 people in the hospital in Catawba County with the virus. 

$93,000 Bond

Bond was set at $93,000 for a Lenoir man.  Elijah Rashard Gibbs 45, faces felony possession with intent to sell or deliver cocaine among other drug charges.  He also faces possession of a firearm by a felon

Burke County’s Most Wanted list includes Dalton Gage Hughes, 28 years old.  He is wanted for felony larceny and felony possession of stolen goods.  His last known address was Flat Gap Rd in Valdese.  Anyone with information

Fatal Accident

One person was killed in a wreck in Conover Tuesday evening.  The Catawba County EMS and Conover Fire and Police Departments responded to the scene on Thornburg Drive.  A box truck collided with a pick up truck.
