May 31, 2019 @ 6:00 AM - June 1, 2019 @ 6:00 PM

Event is free but bring money for food, people will be selling things at there booths,  #Gold Together Kid Zone, Silent Auction
The American Cancer Society Relay for Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community. Rallying the passion of 4 million people worldwide, Relay for Life events raise critical funds that help fuel the mission of the American Cancer Society, an organization that touches so many lives-those who are currently battling cancer, those who may face a diagnosis in the future and those who may avoid a diagnosis altogether thanks to education, prevention, and early detection.
While our event takes place over two days, teams raise funds all season long to help those in our community touched with Cancer. Our volunteers provide ride to those who need treatment, wigs and make up for women who have gone through chemotherapy and a mastectomy, free hotel rooms to those whose best care is not in their hometown, a 1-800# that is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year to assist with questions about diagnosis, treatment, insurance and more.
Relay For Life is a truly unique fund raising event. During the Relay, a community party atmosphere is created through team members camping out, enjoying entertainment, food, games, and camaraderie. Highlights of the event are the Survivors’ Walk, one lap around the track by survivors who are winning the fight, and the Luminaria Ceremony to remember those who lost their battle with cancer, to honor cancer survivors or to pay tribute to someone who has been of special inspiration.
We will also have a HUGE #Gold Together Kid Zone with inflatables, games, putt putt, movies, and more! We ask that a $5 contribution be made to participate. All funds raised through the Gold Together Kid Zone will go to support childhood cancer research, support services and awareness, as well as , cancer prevention efforts targeting children. The Kid Zone will run from 6pm-midnight
Our silent auction will be back this year with many great items up for grabs. Trips, activities, jewelry, furniture, and so much more! Carolina Panthers autographed football, 2 night stay at Chetola Resort, Dollywood tickets, golf packages locally and out of state, Appalachian State football tickets, NC State football tickets, Merlefest, High Gravity Adventures, Tweetsie, to name a few.
