A Connelly Springs man is in custody after a man was found dead in eastern Burke County early Yesterday morning. David Andrew Barnes was taken into custody yesterday afternoon and charged with the murder of Roger Dewayne Hoglan. Barnes claims he was trying to protect himself during the shooting.
