Lenoir church accuses a construction company of cheating it out of $25,000

A Lenoir church is accusing a construction company of cheating it out of $25,000. Mountain Pilgrim Baptist Church filed a lawsuit on Thursday saying Robbie Byerly  agreed in November to remodel the church’s sanctuary but did not tell church officials that he was not a licensed contractor until after work had begun. The News-Topic reports the church ended up paying someone else $32,992.18 for repairs and to complete the renovation project in the sanctuary.
