Authorities in Catawba County are investigating a murder after a man was found shot inside a home on Hopewell Church Road in Sherrills Ford. According to reports, police found 56 year old Shaun Michael Loughrey dead from one or more gunshot wounds. The NC State Bureau of Investigation has been called in to assist the Catawba County Sheriffs Office with the investigation.
