As of Tuesday there was drop in hospitalizations in Catawba County from 120 down to 90. Caldwell County had 55 in the hospital and Burke County had 25. While vaccinations have begun, the Burke County Health Department reminds people, both Covid 19 vaccines require 2 shots. Pfizer’s shots are given 28 days apart, while the Moderna shots are given 21 days apart.
