Heroin charges were brought against a Morganton man. 33 year old Vicente Omar Forney was arrested by Morganton Department of Public Safety officers. He also faces possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor larceny. Officers arrested Forney at WalMart Neighborhood Market on N Green St after a call concerning shoplifting. He was placed in the Burke County jail under a $25,000 secured bond. His next court date is August 4th.
Multiple breaking and entering charges were filed against a Morganton man. 69 year old Roger Dale Brown also faces possession of burglary tools, resisting an officer and possession of cocaine among other charges. He was arrested by Longview Police officers and placed in the Catawba County Detention Facility under a $16,000 bond. A court date is set for August 3rd.
