BURKE AND CALDWELL COUNTIES RECEIVE FUNDS FROM STATE FOR LAND AQUISITION AND PROJECT DEVELOPMENT

RALEIGH – Burke and Caldwell Counties will receive their share of $70.3 Million dollars allocated to 117 projects across North Carolina. In Burke County, provisional acquisition funds of over $700,000 have been allocated to Foothills Conservancy of NC for their Prospect Ridge Henry Fork River project. In addition, the Catawba Riverkeeper Foundation is set to receive over $11,000 and City of Morganton is to receive over $400,000 for its Bethel Park – Phase 2 project.    In Caldwell County, Foothills Conservancy of is set to receive over $2 million dollars for their Blowing Rock Tract – Johns River Headwaters project, over $300,000 for its Green Rock Creek – Buffalo Cove Game Land project, and over $500,000 for its  Ripshin Ridge Buffalo Cove project.
