The city of Newton has announced its bi-annual spring cemetery clean-up, which will take place from Saturday, March 25 to Monday, April 3 at the city’s three cemeteries: Eastview, Central, and Southside. During this time, the cemetery maintenance staff will be removing any worn or damaged items such as flowers, toys, trinkets, and vases that have been left at gravesites. If anyone wishes to keep the items left at a gravesite, they must collect them by Friday, March 24. New items may be left at gravesites from Tuesday, April 4 onwards, with the reminder that flowers should be placed in permanent vases attached to markers.
