Valdese man sentenced for drug trafficking

On Monday, August 4, 2025, 33 year old Nicholas Eugene Bollinger of Valdese pled guilty to Felony Trafficking in Opium/Heroin and received a sentence of a minimum of 70 months with a maximum of 93 months in the NC Department of Corrections.

The guilty plea stems from his July 11, 2025 arrest, when the Burke County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at his 3716 Leger Road, Valdese residence as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation.

During the search of the residence, investigators discovered and seized quantities of Fentanyl, Methamphetamine, Cocaine
and numerous firearms, including one that was stolen.

Also arrested was 32 year old Emily Clawson of Valdese. Both were transported to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office, where they were charged with Felony Trafficking in Opium/Heroin, Felony Possession of Methamphetamine and Felony Possession of Cocaine.
