From PRESS RELEASE: Burke County Sheriff’s Office 02/27/2026
On December 21, 2025, the Burke County Sheriff’s Office received a report of alleged child abuse.
Following an extensive investigation, 25 year old Patience Briana Michelle Dula and 23 year old Andrew Isaiah Bryant, both of 3893 Ingram Street, Hickory (Burke County), were each charged with Felony Intentional Child Abuse Inflicting Serious Physical Injury.
Both Dula and Bryant were arrested on February 26, 2026, and transported to the Burke County Magistrate’s Office, where they were each issued no bond.
Their first court appearance is scheduled for February 27, 2026. Both Dula and Bryant appeared in Burke County District Court on February 27, 2026, and the Judge upheld the no bond for both. Their next court date is set for March 20, 2026.
