Bond was set at $80,000 for a Morganton man. Johny Lee 33, faces common law robbery, assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and armed robbery. The Morganton Department of Public Safety reported the incident took place at Roses Discount Store on E Fleming Drive. Lee reportedly used a box cutter and demanded money. When the cashier refused, he grabbed a SunDrop and fled. He was arrested later after video footage was viewed. His court date is set for Thursday.
