SUMMARY:Unifour Childrens Sight
DESCRIPTION:Unifour Childrens Sight is a program operated by ten Lions Clubs in the Unifour area. We have a small van and three Plus Optics cameras that provide free children’s vision screenings throughout the Unifour counties of Catawba\, Burke\, Caldwell and Alexander. \nOur goal is to screen children from the age of one year through teenagers in which our equipment can identify the refractive needs along with eight conditions that may exist which could lead to vision loss in later years. The two main issues that prevent children from being able to learn while in the classroom is hungry and vision. If a child is hungry\, they cannot concentrate if unable to see properly they can’t read the blackboard. \nAvailable from 8:00am – 5:00pm \nPlease visit our website unifourlions.org “Vision Initiative” to see what we offer and inquire about arranging a screening for your daycare\, charter school or Pre K class. \nWayne Houser “Unifour Childrens Sight”
