The Valdese Town Council voted to apply for a $500,000 Community Development Block Grant. The funds would be used to demolish a 61,739 square foot facility on Praley St. The building is owned by Valdese Water Recycling LLC, the company has committed 25 percent of demolition cost. They plan to use the land for a new headquarters and laboratory testing facility. The company will employ approximately 12 workers.
