Teams are assessing damages in the Wilson Creek and Edgemont areas of Caldwell County. Each team includes someone from law enforcement, emergency services, the health department and the American Red Cross. Areas being assessed include Hwy 90/Edgemont Rd, Brown Mountain Beach Rd and surrounding areas. Teams will be determining damage to homes, wells and septic systems and giving information to residents about how to manage those systems. Heavy rains fell in the area over the weekend.
