Carrie Howell of Alexander County was killed in a crash Monday while driving her kids to the splash pad in hickory according to the hickory daily record. Troopers told WSOC-TV they believe Josh Bowman, the driver of the other vehicle possibly fell asleep at the wheel crossing the double yellow line of us 64. Bowman was transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. Howell’s two children were also transported to a local hospital for minor injuries. Their 11 year old cousin was flown to a Charlotte hospital where he was in critical condition, but expected to survive.
